Many large employers and training providers have identified the need to evidence that individuals have received specific training, delivered in a consistent and systematic way with an independent assessment of learning, to meet their sector specific requirements.

iAS, through its approval of training and assessment, is able to provide assurances that agreed standards are being met. Employers and training providers can apply to have their courses (training and assessment) approved.

A large number of training courses, ranging from a few hours up to weeks, are delivered to meet competency needs, but many do not offer a formal, independent assessment of learning.

We have established a friendly approval process to enable you to enable you to seek recognition for the courses you own and wish to gain independent approval.

We will consider any format of course – online, distance, classroom or a form of blended learning. Courses can be of short duration providing awareness through to longer, more complex knowledge and skill training programmes.

It is a necessary requirement for employers to be able to identify the process they have used to train people to meet duties under local legislation, where applicable.
