iAS (International Accreditation Society) was established in 1998 as a non profit making examining board with the brief to set standards for the delivery of training and assessment for individuals in the workplace. Typically where no current standards are available or existing standards are inappropriate for the employer.

iAS recognises that training needs vary across the world and competency needs vary greatly. Developing economies are usually involved in rapid growth and have wide ranging needs, for example competency training for those working in new industrial manufacturing processes, whereas in highly developed economies core skill requirements in distribution and service may be more relevant.

iAS believes that assessment processes must be designed to be as transparent as possible, to ensure credibility for the quality of the training and development of those trained.

The Society’s goal is to provide an independent monitoring and review service to those wishing to develop a world class management style.

iAS is the standard setting, assessment and awarding body of the Accreditation Society Limited, a company limited by guarantee. Company No. 6512207
